Remote Learning Schedule

Monday
The District has designated Mondays as planning and professional learning day.  Teachers will be meeting remotely to plan the activities for the week, comparing assessment data, and adjusting instruction.  We will also have our virtual staff meetings on those days.

Tuesday-Friday
These are class days when students will attend class and complete the activities and assignments for each class.

8:00 - 8:30 am Period 1

8:30 - 9:00 am Period 2

9:00 - 9:30 am Period 3

9:30 - 10:00 am Period 4

10:00 - 10:30 am Period 5

10:30 - 11:00 am Period 6

11:00 - 11:30 am Period 7

1:00 - 3:00 pm “Office” Hours (Teachers Answer Questions)

Attendance

Touchpoints – Students will indicate their presences in a class by any one of the following touchpoints:

- Attendance Google form
- Class activity or assignment submitted that day
- Class discussion
- Email to teacher

Teachers will submit attendance at 8 pm each day.

If your student becomes too ill to complete remote learning for a day, please call the attendance line at 303-982-0400 or email Mrs. Fletcher. If you believe your student was marked incorrectly, email both the teacher and Mrs. Fletcher for clarification or to change the attendance.

Assignments & Grading

Teachers should plan for one quality assignment that can be accomplished by the average student during the 30 minute period each day. However, students have until 8 pm (or a time designated by the teacher) to complete the day’s work.

Teachers are looking for quality versus quantity. If your student is done with their remote learning in less than 4 hours per day, please question them about what work they completed, what they learned, how they could do better tomorrow.

Assignments, other than common formative or summative assessments, should be marked as:

  • Turned in
  • Incomplete
  • Missing

Common formative assessments (like quizzes and Friday Surveys) should be done approximately once per week to inform instruction with data. These will receive a standards-based grade and a multiplier of 0.1. The purpose of this is to communicate how a student is progressing without negatively affecting students’ overall level of proficiency on a given standard.

Summative assessments should be planned accordingly to represent the students’ final proficiency on the given standard. Following standards-based grading protocols, this is not an average of the work that has been done but a final assessment of a student’s proficiency in the standard.
